Wallets are the infrastructure of BCH. Since BCH has so many users, many wallet vendors have added BCH support to their services. Of course, there are some wallets specially made for BCH, including many BCH related functions, such as IFwallet, Badge, Electron Cash, etc. But that’s not enough. The potential user base for BCH is huge. For non-technical users, especially new users, the existing wallet does not provide the best user experience. To that end, Jonathan Silverblood, creator of Bitcoin Cash Accounts, on March 2 unveiled a user-friendly Wallet design concept called Cashual Wallet, designed for ease of use and integrated with the Cash Accounts name system.
Simplify processes and capture user concerns
Jonathan Silverblood argues that existing wallets are a common entry process, forcing users to go through a complex backup process with a mnemonic. While backup is a very important process for cryptocurrency wallets and an important part of ensuring the security of users’ assets, it is not on the minds of many first-time users. Sometimes these tedious steps can even discourage users from exploring the wallet further. As soon as they receive their first BCH payment, users will naturally take an active interest in these processes.
What exactly is important for non-technical users to use a wallet for the first time? As with some common applications, the language is the first step. Cashual Wallet is designed to use the language of the device’s operating system whenever possible, but defaults to English if no translation is available. On the first Settings screen, the user can also choose to change the language. In general, however, their preferences should already be selected and used without them having to make any changes. However, the display of language control can improve the user’s ability to use. By using their own language as the default setting, it makes the wallet look familiar and comfortable. Then there is the currency option. Since BCH can be used globally, it is also a good experience to choose the right currency for the user. The wallet will ask the device’s operating system for the user’s locale and pre-select the appropriate currency for the user in the same way as the language. Next comes the theme, which allows the user to choose the night mode. The default is a bright and colorful theme during the day, but at night a dark theme has some obvious advantages and can be turned on or off as needed.
Integrate Cash Accounts system to provide convenience for users
Cashual Wallet is user-friendly not only in the interface, but also in providing users with more convenient services. Cashual Wallet can not only transfer money from BCH using traditional methods, including pasting address, scanning QR code, etc., but also integrate Cash Accounts protocol. Cash Accounts is an open source program that allows people to create custom human-readable names using BCH chains and bind them to traditional BCH addresses. When the wallet supports Cash Accounts protocol, our transfer is just like the wechat transfer we usually use. We can directly select the name of the object to transfer and add the transfer amount. In addition, for contacts with previous transfer history, you can directly search the history records for easy input.
As a user-friendly Wallet, Cashual Wallet will provide users with a very convenient service, but Cashual Wallet is not finished yet and is still being improved. It’s great for BCH that the BCH developers are coming up with this user-friendly product. For the products of this era, the needs and experience of users must be considered. Only from the perspective of users can we make products popular with users and the market and have strong competitiveness in the future development. At present, BCH has been making efforts in this direction, and the products based on BCH are the same. In the future, more users will choose BCH, thus promoting it to better achieve its goals.
