ApacheCon is the official global series of conferences of the Apache Software Foundation (ASF). ApacheCon is one of the most celebrated events in the open source world and one of the early days of the open source movement.
To better serve the rapidly growing number of Apache users and contributors in the Asia Pacific region, this year’s first online conference for the Asia Pacific time zone, ApacheCon Asia, will be held on August 6, August 8, 2016.
Sphereex, a newly established company, will participate in this event as a silver sponsor this year, hoping to carry forward the spirit of open source and promote the development of open source through in-depth communication and thinking collision with the technology developers in the open source industry.
At the same time, Sphereex’s technical elite also actively participated in the event. Sphereex founder Zhang Liang will be the keynote speaker of middleware, and co-founder Pan Juan will be the keynote speaker of Incubator. Haoran Meng, Sphereex Senior Java Engineer, and Weijie Wu, middleware engineer, will deliver keynote speeches on the middleware topic.
Now let’s take a look at what SphereEx brings to you.
Incubator project
Special feature producer – Pan Juan
Sphereex co-founder, Apache Member, Apache Shardingsphere PMC, Apache BRPC (Incubating) mentor, the only female Apache Member in China.
The Apache Incubator provides assistance and services for projects that want to enter the Apache Software Foundation (ASF). It helps incoming projects (called “Poddling”) adopt the governance style of Apache and direct the use of ASF services to become a top-level ASF project (” TLPs “). Created in 2002, the incubator has helped 315 podlings as of November 2019, of which more than 200 have graduated.
The ApacheCon Asia 2021 Incubator will share experience and guidance on the Incubator, including the governance and operation style of the Apache Foundation, and how projects can enter the Apache Incubator and be successfully promoted to the top level of Apache projects. In addition, we will teach you how to build a mature, active and diverse open source community, and how to make the development of the project more consistent with the Apache Foundation’s laws and regulations, Apache Way, etc.
Middleware Topics
Special topic producer – Zhang Liang
Sphereex CEO, Apache Member, Founder of Apache Shardingsphere, Elasticjob and Chairman of Project Management Committee.
Middleware is the most widespread form of infrastructure built on top of an application system to handle a variety of non-functional requirements. A large number of middleware solutions are provided in ASF, such as Apache Karaf and Apache Servicemix for Enterprise Service Bus, and Apache ShardingSphere has the capability of database incremental services.
In the middleware section, you will not only learn about front-line users’ hands-on experience with these Apache projects, but also learn about the latest developments in the Apache top-tier project ecosystem, as well as look into the latest vision of the middleware space.
