Internet media service platforms generally include the uploading, sharing and dissemination of massive graphic, audio and video files, and are characterized by large number of users, wide distribution of users, high real-time requirements and sudden hot spots.
Firstly, it has a wide range of content transmission and high requirements for node coverage of CDN. Second, real-time performance. The platform pays great attention to the real-time performance of file uploading and distribution and has high requirements for the response efficiency of CDN. The third is suddenness. The platform generally has the traffic surge caused by hot spots and activities, and has high requirements on bandwidth and other response resources, and has certain requirements on CDN resource reserve and flexibility. Fourth, the business complexity is high, because the media service platform covers a wide range of users, the user groups are very diverse, different users of the network environment is uneven, which leads to the platform’s high requirements for network transmission optimization.

At this time, we can access Aliyun DCDN products and realize the cache of static files through the separation of dynamic and static, which can greatly reduce the load capacity of some source sites. In addition, the dynamic source back can also support HTTP/2 protocol, which can reduce the load number of source links and improve the link reuse rate. It can solve the problem of insufficient load capacity of source station. With sufficient redundant resources, DCDN can perfectly undertake major activities.
More applications of DCDN
DCDN products also have many extended applications, mainly introduced in four aspects.
First, DCDN supports IP application acceleration, which is an acceleration at the user level of the non-standard HTTP protocol. This scenario applies to layer 4 Cell protocol service scenarios. When some services are being accelerated, you can ignore the application layer and only perform network acceleration. You can select IP application acceleration.
Second, DCDN products support the websocket protocol to establish full-duplex communication between users and CDN nodes and between CDN nodes and source stations, which can maintain long-term links. In this way, when users initiate a request for the second time, there is no need to establish a link again, which can improve user experience.
Third, DCDN support source station automatic switch, usually there will be a main source to stand for two of the original station, when the primary source station response and usability problems, DCDN real-time detection can timely found the abnormal situation, will be removed, there is a problem of the original station will request access to the alternate source station, so that we can guarantee the stability of the user level to the greatest extent.
Fourth, DCDN supports Ipv6 access. Currently, Ipv6 has covered the three major carriers. In addition, Alibaba’s DCDN products have more related applications to explore.
