On November 1, Alibaba Cloud announced the launch of MaxCompute, a big data computing service, in Beijing and Malaysia on the same day. This is the first time ali Cloud launched its big data computing service at both domestic and overseas dual nodes at the same time. Especially, two days after the global opening of the Malaysian data center, MaxCompute was launched in Malaysia, indicating that big data computing products are accelerating the pace of global expansion under the call of the market and business.

Big data computing service MaxCompute is independently developed by Alibaba Cloud and has several features, including upgraded computing and machine learning capabilities, scalability and security protection. It has stably supported all offline analysis businesses of Ali for more than 7 years, and is an important product component of Ali Cloud to provide cloud solutions for enterprise customers in various countries.
Maxcompute version 2.0 is deployed in both Beijing and Malaysia. The new version relies on the new SQL2.0 computing engine to bring higher performance calculations; Support unstructured data processing, through the appearance and external data source association, provides custom data format parsing programming interface, support arbitrary data format. It will better provide massive data computing support for hot fields such as artificial intelligence in North China and Malaysia.
Zhou Jingren, vice president of Alibaba Group, said at the main forum of hangzhou Computing Conference 2017, which just ended in October, “Data is the foundation of machine intelligence innovation, and only with abundant computing power can the value of data be fully released. We hope to help developers seize more market opportunities by continuously unlocking the computing dividends of Aliyun.” Cloud computing development in Malaysia is still in its infancy. In order to support the development of local digital economy, Ali Cloud held the first “Computing and Big data Technology Certification” training course in Malaysia in March this year, which provided cloud computing theory and technical practice training for IT technicians of local enterprises. In July this year, Aliyun also joined hands with Malaysia’s Digital Economy Agency to create a Digital Hub for local innovative entrepreneurs. The center will provide cloud computing technology for the transformation of the local digital economy and boost the development of the local technology industry.
Up to now, Alibaba Cloud big data computing service MaxCompute has been officially launched in East China, South China, North China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Europe and Malaysia. Nodes in Japan, the western U.S. and the eastern U.S. will be opened within this year. At the same time, big data computing services will actively embrace developers, release more technical dividends for developers, and lead and create an inclusive ecology of big data
