Today, I want to install an Android emulator to play games. Then I searched and finally found BlueStacks 5 and Night God simulators.

The BlueStacks installation prompted me to turn off virtualization, but NOW I’m using the development environment deployed in WSL and I’ve given up installing it. After the installation, there is only a prompt to modify the system environment, but no prompt to shut down virtualization. I turned Hyper-V off when I rebooted. I was pissed. This hint is too vague, hope they change it in the future.

Fortunately the data was still there and it was quickly restored according to the official guide (I didn’t use the preview Windows and followed the manual installation steps 1-5 in the guide as part 6 was already installed).
