Recently I offered to leave my job. I am going to leave my outsourcing work in Ali for more than two years. I am going to join the next Party A.
Outsourcing experience
Experience from April 2019 to now.
Several stages from responsible work content:
Feelings and Growth
Each stage feels different
- New person stage: some are fresh, new business scenarios, new technical framework (or tools), this stage is the most willing to work overtime a stage 😂, because many things need to learn, curious about many things. It’s a sign of high motivation, and it’s the stage where trust is most needed.
- Proficiency level: With several project iteration, gradually understand the business, familiar with project code (or internal tools) master, at this stage, facing the new requirements or changes, can quickly find the breakthrough point and know how to start to do module, began to develop some common components and tools function is provided to the colleagues in the group, On their own code quality and development efficiency have certain requirements. Efficient and timely delivery of quality.
- Senior driver stage: At this stage, I began to independently accept the development of new projects (systems) and design some technical solutions for projects. In fact, this period was a stage of growth for me. I took the initiative to undertake project difficulties, do some technical research, and help colleagues in the team to solve some problems. I have greatly improved my problem solving ability, project business understanding and technical control.
- Dominant stage: For me at this stage is also a great promotion to me a stage, and began, with the project to do with my classmates in the group, as the demand of the TL part project review, scheduling, task allocation, the technical scheme design and the overall project schedule, risk assessment, quality control solely responsible for, do much, point to consider too much, At this stage, it is more necessary to have a global awareness, to do a good job in resource allocation, overall control and a series of things, but also need to consider how to solve the problem more efficiently and quickly.
The results of
- I got a good result. In the second half of 2020, I was promoted to senior. In fact, I was very confused when faced with questions from three P8 bosses at the same time
- Two: after being promoted to senior, I was pulled to do a pure technical project by the eldest brother alone, and the first version of the simplified version was opened to the outside world. Late dominant reconstruction and the technique of some solely responsible for design, selection of technology, the functional design, the overall project of the difficulty, for me personally also has some challenges in some ways, the end result is good, is make a diu diu contribution for XXX field, ascension is pretty big to me.
conclusion
This period of work is coming to an end. I recall that I was full of curiosity about all new things when I first came here. It is the same mentality, so THAT I can learn quickly and get started in the new job. In fact, THANKS to the trust of the boss, A little bit in charge of more things, more complex things, more challenging things.
“Outsourcing” does have many disadvantages, but I hope to look at what I do from a positive perspective. I believe that some of the things that my classmates do or the complex business or technology scenarios cannot be encountered by small companies at all. In the experience of outsourcing, my positive feelings are as follows:
From a technical perspective:
- Rapid implementation and practice of new technologies
- Various tool libraries and robust documentation
- Engineering, standardized, process research and development process
- Based on various types of business, technology efficiency, middle and Taiwan products
In terms of growth:
- Broaden the horizon, enhance the cognitive level
- Understand and learn related knowledge of various businesses and fields
- Exposure to more complex business and technical scenarios

On the positive side, it is not advocating outsourcing. When you are not competent enough to enter a big factory or have no good and appropriate opportunities, outsourcing from a big factory can sometimes be an “opportunity”. In fact, many students jump from outsourcing to a big factory. The key depends on how you view this job. If you plan and study according to the above aspects, you will get good results.
Before the boss said to himself a few words feel quite meaningful:
Don’t put limits on yourself. When you’re doing well, ask yourself if you can do better. Don’t think of yourself as an executor.
How to learn
Under the condition that I don’t work overtime, I usually spend at least 2-3 hours a day to study. I will make sure to get up before 7:30 a.m. for 10 minutes to wash and wash, then study for half an hour to 1 hour before going to work, and study for at least two hours at night.
In fact, there are many ways to learn, such as technical videos from B station, Nuggets, Geeks, and insisting on brushing leetCode (started in recent months).
Second half plan
- Adapt to the new environment, business, quickly into the new work
- Buy books, brush questions, video can not be left behind
- Spend more time thinking about the 🤔 summary, make sure you get some output each month, and get into the habit of blogging

The interview
After about a month of interviews, I also interviewed about 10 companies, and I really felt the importance of education as a key to getting one’s entrance. However, I was not used by HR or interviewers to talk about my outsourcing experience or to reduce my salary. I think I am lucky. The specific face of the plan to follow a separate article to write.
Simple summary
After finishing my outsourcing career, I am about to start a new chapter. Thank you for this experience which makes me grow up quickly.
New company, new environment, new opportunities, out of your comfort zone and hopefully a fresh start.
