As a tool-lover, I have been asking for other people’s nutrition in the community. Today, I would like to contribute some applications I have collected to introduce a dozen of my commonly used software. Some are recommended by others over and over again and are really classic, while others are found by me by accident but feel very good after use. I present them together, so that you can see if you need these software according to your own needs and solve the pain points in your production and life.

If this article has really helped you, don’t forget to like 👍. Your likes are the motivation for me to keep writing ðŸĪŠ ~

This article is part of the Great Tools series:

  1. Introduce a few Windows under the very useful tools
  2. Make comfortable move brick environment, these are the desktop good thing that I want to recommend most
  3. Full of dry goods! Recommend some very useful Mac software (first shot)
  4. Full of dry goods! Recommend some very useful Mac software (second bullet)
  5. Full of dry goods! Recommend some very useful Mac software (bullet 3)

1. uPic

Because the original PicGo software often fails to be uploaded, SO I uninstalled PicGo and switched to the more useful (personally feel) open source PicGo software uPic. At the same time, Typora has supported automatic uploading through uPic after copying pictures to the page after several updates. It’s easy to replace images with links on the page, so if you do a lot of writing, don’t miss this tool combination.

Support drag and drop upload, shortcut key upload, local file directly upload, multiple image upload, screenshot upload, clipboard upload (combined with shortcut keys cool fly!) And other functions, you can configure most commonly used graph bed, upload pictures after completion of automatic copy of the uploaded link to the clipboard, you can choose the output format for URL or Markdown format, this set down completely solve my pain point, but also cover most of the majority of people’s most use of the scene, good awesome!

Generally, I use Xnip to take a screenshot with shadow effect, which will be copied to the clipboard 📋 by Xnip, and then use the shortcut keys CTRL + Shift + Command + U set in uPic to upload the screenshot. UPic will have a desktop notification and sound effect to remind you that the image link has been copied to your clipboard and is ready to use

GitHub map bed (at least not like some of the free map bed sudden death 😂), GitHub map bed configuration can refer to this configuration tutorial. Another free map bed I use is SM.MS map bed. However, this map bed sometimes fails to connect. When Github fails to connect due to some reasons, I use this map bed instead.

PS: Minority has a special article on uPic, you can have a look at it and introduce it in more detail.

UPic is free and can be downloaded from Github Release, the App Store, or Homebrew brew Cask Install uPic.

2. Tooth Fairy

While headphones like AirPods and Beats X have a BUILT-IN W1 chip that can seamlessly switch between multiple Apple devices, to connect your headphones to a Mac, you need to tap the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar before selecting the appropriate headset as output. You can’t see the device directly from the menu bar after you connect the wireless headset.

Tooth Fairly can remember all your Bluetooth devices and switch the status of connected or off with one key, no need to find it in the Bluetooth menu, achieving a truly seamless switch between multiple devices (but also occupies precious menu bar position, but can be hidden with the second article’s Dozer). You can also set shortcuts for switching between Bluetooth devices, which is cool.

Now desktop is becoming wireless, around the computer often have multiple Bluetooth devices, especially suitable for Bluetooth headset, bluetooth keyboard, Bluetooth touchpad and other devices, this software you will need 😂 sooner or later.

Tooth Fairly can be downloaded from the App Store or found on your own.

3. Itsycal

Free open source light weight status bar calendar software, simultaneously can link with Google Account, iCloud Account system calendar content, every time you need to check, just click the button on the menu bar to view all the information, very intuitive and beautiful.

📆 Especially when it comes to setting task times and scheduling scenarios, the calendar of the month has a clear outline and is very friendly.

The whole software is 2MB, very light, only 256GB to the hard disk in the next, also pretty intimate 😂. Despite its small size, it comes complete with event reminders, custom time displays, keyboard shortcuts, and dark mode.

You can download it for free from the official website, or download any version of the release from Github.

4. AltTab

If you’re switching from Windows to MacOS (😂), Alt + Tab on Windows and Win + Tab shortcuts are pretty familiar, and switching tasks on Mac is not as good as switching tasks on Windows. AltTab takes you through Windows’ familiar window-switching feeling, and goes a step further by setting the range of applications to switch between all desktops and the current desktop, whether hidden or minimized apps can be switched to, and so on.

You can also adjust the size of the thumbnail, and close, minimize, and full-screen operations directly in the thumbnail, which helps you operate the window better and more conveniently.

AltTab is also available at 👍, which is free. You can download the app from there, and you can also download brew Cask install Alt-tab at HomeBrew, but note that HomeBrew is not the latest version, so use the link above to download it.

5. FinalShell

The plain interface tells you that this is developed by a domestic individual developer (maybe a straight iron man?). But it’s versatile and useful.

Support multi-label, batch management server, SSH remote login and remember the configuration next time double click directly connected to SSH, support to set customized shortcut commands, automatic compression and decompression, a large number of skins can be freely selected, shortcut keys can be customized, SFTP and terminal display on the same screen, You can also drag and drop the local folder to the SFTP folder for automatic transfer to the server.

The free version of FinalShell is enough. Download it here for Mac and Windows. Mac can be installed on the command line with one click:

curl -L -o finalshell_install.sh www.hostbuf.com/downloads/finalshell_install.sh; chmod +x finalshell_install.sh; sudo ./finalshell_install.shCopy the code

In addition, I have used a lot of Shell tools, including Termius, which has a relatively high level of appearance, but it is quite good, and the old XShell is also recommended.

6. Keka / The Unarchiver

As Windows installed on one of the necessary decompression tool, Mac with decompression tool although very good, but the format does not need to support other software to supplement, here to recommend two very good software, an active a passive, both support Chinese.

Keka is active software, can be compressed and decompressed, compression support set decompression password, volume compression, select compression format, support button generated compression package, easy to use, when decompressing directly drag to the Dock Keka icon, or use shortcut keys, Or use the right menu bar and choose Services -> Use Keka Compression.

Keka is now 18 blocks on the App Store, you can wait for events to check it out, or you don’t care to start directly, if you are a regular user of compression and decompression, this tool recommended. Plus, it’s free to download and use on the official website (so why charge for it in the App Store 😅).

The Unarchiver is a passive Unarchiver that can be unzipped, unzipped, unzipped, unzipped, unzipped, unzipped and unzipped. Decompress many different types of archive files, supporting common formats such as Zip, RAR, 7-zip, Tar, Gzip and Bzip2, as well as some older formats. You can also open various other files, such as ISO and BIN disk images and the Windows.exe installer. It can correctly handle the file name encoding of its open archive, unzip the file in different places (such as foreign countries), and there will be no messy file name.

In short, The Unarchiver is easy to use, comprehensive, free, practical, green, ad-free, and just like a built-in App, it can be downloaded in The App Store. If you are like me, it is basically for daily use, and The compression only uses The.zip covered by The Mac system. Unzipping will only be available in common formats that can be downloaded from the web, so just install this.

7. Multitouch

Multitouch can bind custom actions to a trackpad or mouse gesture. There are a lot of people recommended online, which is suitable for people who often use the touch pad. Here are my Settings for reference only.

I set repressing the upper left corner of the trackpad (repressing the trackpad is divided into two stages, the second stage is repressing) to set the application to the left 2/3 of the current desktop, similar to the left 2/3 function of Magnet, and repressing the upper right corner to set the right 2/3, which are the two functions I use most frequently. Tap in the upper left corner to set it to the left 1/2, and tap in the upper right corner to set it to the right 1/2.

I also use this feature a lot in the browser, where one finger goes up and the other finger goes up and the other finger goes down and the other finger goes up and the other finger goes down and the other finger goes up and the other finger goes up and the other finger goes up and the other finger goes up and the other finger goes up and the other finger goes up and the other finger goes up. You can set up a lot of functions, their own exploration, can also set up the use of shortcut keys, like toss can be a function to try.

You can’t find it in the App Store, you can only download it from the official website, which is pretty sexy, but expensive (100 RMB), but you can also think of your own way, 😂 is everywhere on the Internet.

8. Glance

QuickLook, the Mac’s space bar file preview feature, is probably the most amazing feature for many people who have just switched from Windows to Mac, but it doesn’t support many formats. Glance is an open source, free Mac app (but the Github repository is Archived, so maybe the author wants to cash it in?). For previewing a variety of file formats not supported by QuickLook, especially temporary previews of Markdown and code files, which I use most often, as well as the contents of unzipped packages.

In addition to being integrated into QuickLook, it’s also integrated into Finder, and Spotlight can preview files in these scenes, as well as The Unarchiver.

CPP,.js,.json,.py and other code files are supported, as well as Markdown, compressed packages, Jupyter Notebook and other file formats.

You can download the latest installation package in Github’s Releases, good stuff.

9. TeamViewer

The most useful remote control software on Mac, only need to run TeamViewer on two devices at the same time, and tell each other the ID and password of TeamViewer interface to achieve remote control. TeamViewer also supports unattended, file transfer, conference, video, presentation. And remote control between multiple platforms (Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, Windows Phone), can be said to be a part-time worker must.

Because controlling your computer is sensitive, you need to verify your mailbox when logging in to your new device for the first time. TeamViewer reassigns an ID and password each time the computer restarts. Wouldn’t it be a problem if you were working remotely with a customer who wasn’t in front of the computer? TeamViewer allows you to set the connection of the menu bar -> set the ID and password to be unattended and they will not change any more. 😅

It can be downloaded from the official website for free, and the free personal version is enough for daily use.

10. Yoink

Have you ever had the need to drag a file somewhere, but it’s on your desktop and your screen is small, like on a 13-inch Mac dragging a file into a tool like this GIF, it’s not convenient for you to do it all at once. Yoink provides a hub where you can drag files into the Yoink sidebar and then out of the hub where you want to drag the folder.

Alternatively, you can use Yoink as a temporary storage place for documents, pictures, audio and video, etc., and focus your attention on the collection and sorting of content to improve efficiency. Yoink now supports iCloud syncing from iPhone, iPad, Mac, clipboard, Share Sheet, iCloud Drive, and album import.

Yoink supports linkage with Alfred Action. When you select a file from Alfred, use the Actions you set to trigger the shortcut key. You can quickly send a file to Yoink. You can install the Alfred File Action extension in the Yoink preferences extension.

Yoink is a paid application, usually 50 yuan, you can consider buying it when doing activities, or you have the money to support it, in short, it is a good tool, if you have a small screen and often encounter the scene of dragging files, you can consider one.

11. Microcloud synchronization assistant

At first, I was looking for something like iCloud that would automatically sync a specific folder and work across multiple Windows and Macs. After some searching, I found a very good micro cloud synchronization assistant, I can keep a folder on the PC and cloud disk folder synchronization, in the multi terminal can also work smoothly, I often used as A U disk use, or save some configuration files what.

Micro cloud synchronization assistant itself is lightweight, small volume, free user capacity of 10G, can basically meet the following use needs, charging users can reach 6TB space, depending on your needs.

Directly on the qq cloud website can download, free version of the already very sweet, after synchronization can also in micro greetings disk access to sync files, you may be due to space is not so big, so reputation is not too big, not many people know, you know, but the penguin house product basic no customer service and feedback channels.

Listen to people say that the nut cloud is also very good, another day to experience a look, or have a deep use of the small partner for a good 😂.
