1, themes,
We’ve already touched on spelling hints in the Getting Started Guide, which we’ll cover in more detail here.
A spelling tip is a list of words (function names, class names, variable names, etc.) available in the current location.
2. Enable the spelling prompt function
In any case you can activate the spell prompt by pressing Ctrl+Space.
In fact, spelling prompts are enabled by default when you type code, including field member prompts after the dot. As you continue typing, the list of spelling hints Narrows down to match the characters you type. Therefore, the spelling prompt function is also relatively intelligent, and will match the currently entered string anywhere for the user to choose from:
Of course, if you want to disable the spell prompt, you can open the spell prompt dialog by pressing Ctrl+Alt+S → Settings → Editor → Code Completion. Deselect the Autopopup Code Completion in (MS) check box.
3. How to use the spelling tip list
Use the mouse pointer or up/ Down keys to select the desired name from the spelling prompt list:
Here you can adjust the width of the spelling list by pressing the right/left keys.
You will then need to insert the selected name into the current location. Pycharm provides two methods of insertion:
(1) Press Enter, the corresponding variable will be added to the current cursor position:
(2) Press the Tap key and the selected name will replace the string to the right of the current cursor:
4. Change of spelling prompt function
Press Ctrl+Alt+S to open the Settings dialog, expand the Editor node, and click on the Code Completion page:
As you can see, Pycharm allows us to make a variety of changes to the spelling tips feature to meet our requirements. If you are not sure what some of the options do, click the Help button to get Help information.
