The lead key Mod is similar to the function of the Vim leader key. The lead key indicates that i3 is next.
Suggestion: It might be better to bind the Alt key. The wind key or Command key can be tied to a large number of other keys, especially if the virtual machine is involved.
Three modes of I3WM
Like VI, i3WM also has the concept of patterns:
- Tile mode: Tiled Window Manager
- Floating mode: Float Window Manager
- Full screen mode: Full Screen Manager
