One, foreword

Android Studio has built in two themes for us, black drab style and white highlight style. When I first switched from Eclipse to Android Studio, I felt very fresh and the effect was very good, and I felt like typing code was exciting. But after using it for a long time, I feel a little aesthetic fatigue. A few days ago when I was writing an article with MAC Flyby, I felt the code rendering on MAC Flyby was very nice (the effect is shown below), so I wondered if I could use this effect in Android Studio. There are several ways to change your theme into something cool, and this article introduces some of them.

2. Manually replace in Android Studio Settings

Method 1: Manually replace it in Android Studio Settings

This is one of the easier ways to think about it. As mentioned earlier, Android Studio comes with two built-in themes, a black gray theme and a white highlight theme. Most of you probably have. The code rendering style of each theme is different. In addition to switching these two themes, we can customize them. Let’s take a look at the following: 1. Preferences -> Editer -> Colors & Fonts -> Java

Change the subject. PNG in Settings

Save As

Here’s an example: First, select Constant(static final filed); second, leave the Use Inherited Attributes box; third, select the Foreground option, and modify the color value behind it. After modification, you can dynamically display the display effect of your modification below. (4) Repeat the steps in (3) and change the color you want for each item.

Through the above steps, we can customize a theme, style, however, to make a look at the theme of the comfortable, will see their color, may need to put the needs of each color selected, and then a a modified (like I said at the beginning of the article, want to get and Ma Kefei like display code style, So you need to take down the corresponding color value, and then modify each item accordingly), it takes time. So we need to look for alternatives.

Third, Color Themes

Method 2: Use the Colors Themes theme template:

Although the first method can customize the theme of individual words, but it is very troublesome, so is there a simpler method? There are a lot of templates available on this website, such as Color Themes, which can be downloaded from a jar package and then imported into Android Studio. Take a look at these theme templates provided by Color Themes:

4, Material Theme UI

You can use the Material Theme UI plugin to create a personalized Theme for Android Studio, but there is a drawback: These themes only change the code editing area. The package structure area and the menu bar on the left are the same AS before. It doesn’t seem to match the overall style, is there any theme that can change the style of the entire AS? Making Android Studio pretty, the Material Theme UI is an Android Studio plugin that provides three themes to choose from. It works pretty well, and even better, it changes the style outside of the code area. Here’s how it looks with the Material Theme:

There are several ways to create a cool theme for Android Studio, and the results are pretty good, but if we look at our Logcat, we only have white and red logs, which look a little Low and don’t match our cool theme, so we need to change the console Log output. The effect before the change is as follows:

The default colors are white and red, which are very monotonous and hard to distinguish. The change makes it easier to distinguish logs, and it looks great visually.
