1. Greeting

Hi, everybody. I’m happy to tell you, Ali cloud load balancing SLB is in Singapore, Australia (Sydney), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Japan (Tokyo), the United States (silicon valley), the United States (Virginia), Germany (Frankfurt), the united Arab emirates (dubai), India (Bombay), south China, north China (shenzhen) 1 (Qingdao) the regional support HTTP/HTTPS timeout set Meaning function (add blacklist) in other regions of the country is coming online.

2. Function Overview

SLB has two related timeouts for HTTP/HTTPS listening,
Connection idle timeout: The HTTP/HTTPS protocol carries the TCP protocol. HTTP/HTTPS requests based on HTTP/1.1 or more usually do not establish a TCP connection after a single access request. Instead, the TCP connection is multiplexed to a certain extent. The SLB maintains a timer for each TCP connection. If the TCP connection is idle or receives no request within a period of time, the SLB disconnects the TCP connection and re-establishes the TCP connection when a new access request comes in.

Connection request timeout: the timeout refers to, when the load balance after receiving a request from the client, will choose a particular backend server (decision) according to the scheduling algorithm, then forward the request to the backend server, and wait for the backend server response, after receiving the request then the request response to the client. If the back-end server does not respond (or responds for a long time) after a load balancer forwards a request to the back-end server, the load balancer gives up waiting and returns an error code 504 to the client after waiting for a timeout period.

3. How do I configure it

If YOU select HTTP or HTTPS, expand advanced configuration to view related configurations

You can also modify the timeout period of the existing HTTP/HTTPS listening and modify the timeout period on the configuration page.

Currently, the connection idle timeout period can be set from 1 to 60 seconds, and the connection request timeout period can be set from 1 to 180 seconds. If you need a higher timeout period, you can apply for a work order.
