The first two articles talked about Wiki system selection and docsify deployment and configuration. This one talked about “my Wiki”.

My Wiki is only about what I use, what I don’t need is of little use, and only what I use can be learned.

The current module

My Wiki currently has the following modules:

  • CentOS: enables external ports and automatically starts scheduled tasks and programs.
  • Docker: Environment setup.
  • Mac: Environment variable configuration, software recommendations, Homebrew, and Troubleshoots.
  • NPM: Install and modify the source.
  • Blog recommendation: blog, official account, video blog and microblog recommendation.
  • Good software recommendation: all kinds of good software recommendation.
  • Strange knowledge: Strange knowledge has been added.

At present, there are not many modules, which are still being sorted out and accumulated.

Module to Be added

Technical aspects:

  • A shell script
  • Yum command
  • Nginx installation and use
  • Install Java and Maven in Linux

If you use the content of technology, you have to record it, or you won’t remember it next time. There is a place to record these knowledge points, which is too convenient to query. This is also my original intention to build my own Wiki.

Life:

  • Recommend good things in life
  • Life tips

At present, my Wiki is mainly about technology, but I think it should not only contain “technology”, but also “life”. After all, the slogan of my blog is “Record life, Share technology”.

Blogs and wikis

Why build a Wiki when you have a blog?

In my opinion, a blog article is a detailed exposition of a certain topic, focusing more on explaining one thing thoroughly and completely, and expressing one’s own views.

In contrast, Wiki systematizes knowledge and more systematically records knowledge in a certain aspect for easy reference at any time.

Blogs and wikis have their own features and complement each other: a blog explains a topic in detail, while a Wiki links several topics together to form a system.

Of course, the accumulation of knowledge is definitely a long process, I hope I can stick to it and constantly improve my Wiki.

This concludes the “Wiki series”. The whole process is as follows:

  • Choose the appropriate Wiki system
  • Deploy and configure the Wiki
  • Enrich your Wiki
