On October 15th, the “Go+ Together! Go+ 1.0 press conference and the Go+ Developer Foundation launch Ceremony” hosted by 7 Niuyun was held in Shanghai.
In this conference, Xu Shiwei, CEO of Qiniuyun and inventor of Go+ language, and contributors of Go+ language jointly released Go+ version 1.0 and announced the Go+ development roadmap. At the same time, the Go+ Developer Foundation was officially launched at the conference to promote the ecological development of Go+, unite more technical forces and provide resources, funds and technical support to Go+ developers. The “Go+ Together! Go+ 1.0 launch and Go+ Developer Foundation launch ceremony” attracted more than 500 on-site developers and nearly 100,000 online viewers to watch and discuss, which makes us have reason to believe that domestic developers pay attention to technological innovation and developer ecological development. Expect more developers to contribute a line of code to make the change happen.
Ni Guangnan, academician of The Chinese Academy of Engineering and researcher of The Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as the opening speaker of the conference, set the theme and keynote for this conference. Academician Ni said that the “14th Five-Year Plan” and the draft outline of “accelerate digital development, build digital China” as an independent chapter, further clarified the development of cloud computing, big data and other key digital economy industries. With the comprehensive transformation of traditional industries on the cloud, cloud computing technology and corresponding standards continue to improve, the application depth and breadth of cloud services continue to expand, this trend is unstoppable, belongs to the era of cloud computing has arrived. At the same time, Academician Ni Guangnan also put forward expectations for Qiuniuyun and Go+. “As the leading PaaS platform of cloud + data integration in China, Qiuniuyun is also one of the first companies to practice in Go language in China. With the advent of the data era, Go+, a new programming language, is proposed. I believe that Go+ will largely solve the problem of training data scientists and provide help for more technical workers.” Dr. Qi Lu, founder and CEO of Qiji, also delivered an opening speech via video. “Our mission is to drive innovation at its source,” he said. “I’m glad to see That Xu and the Go+ team are doing something similar in the developer ecosystem.” “New programming languages are often created to address new requirements and lower the barriers to development from a programming language perspective. Not only will it expand the developer community, but it will also save developers’ time and improve the development efficiency of society as a whole.” Dr. Lu emphasized that open source development is becoming more and more mainstream and superior, and he looked forward to the participation of more programmers to help new tools and languages stay ahead of demand, as well as to the participation of more people in the innovation driven from the source like Go+.
Go+ 1.0 released! The development roadmap was announced and the Foundation was officially established
At this event, Xu and the Go+ contributors held a Go+ 1.0 launch ceremony. As the inventor of Go+, Xu Shiwei shared the invention background, vision and development direction of Go+.
“Programming languages will become the underlying infrastructure of human civilization because they change the way we record engineering.” Xu shiwei believes that software automation will swallow everything in the next 10 years, and in the next 50 years, software automation will fully evolve from code driven to data driven, and everyone will have a direct relationship with software automation. As a means of realizing software automation, programming language will become an important dependence of human civilization in the future. Scientific theory is abstract, which can be satisfied by written expression, but engineering technology needs to be embodied and accurate expression to complete inheritance. If the engineering technology is recorded in words, there will be inaccurate expression, there is the possibility of technology loss, but when the programming language is recorded, it can be accurately inherited. To become the carrier of inheritance is xu Shiwei’s expectation for Go+. Therefore, Xu Shiwei also officially announced the establishment of Go+ Developer Foundation in this event to promote the ecological development of Go+ and look forward to more ecological chain partners to create a win-win situation.
Chen Dongpo, CTO of Second Bear English, as a representative of Go+ language contributors, shared and explained the development roadmap of Go+. “Combine the heart of Go in the form of Python”, Chen Dongpo said that Go+, as a programming language that can be formally applied in engineering and data, is closely centered on the “trinity” from design concept to language features, integrating Go of engineering development, Python of data science and Scratch in the teaching field. It allows programmers to communicate with data scientists, making it easier for beginners to get started. Chen Dongpo said that the Go+ team’s planning is the first step to realize the integration of engineering capability (compatible with Go) and teaching capability (compatible with Scratch), while the construction of data science capability still needs long-term efforts. Currently, the Go+ 2.0 version is tentatively scheduled to be released in 2023, supporting the import of Python package. Implement the introduction and compatibility of Python ecology.
Industry pioneer sharing, discussing developer ecology and technology future
Developers are the driving force behind all technological change. This conference also hopes to discuss the development direction and path of developers together, as well as thinking and exploring the future of developer ecology and technology.
Xiong Fei, partner of Matrix & Latitude China, shared with the title of “Thinking on the Advanced Nature of Open Source”. “Open source has moved from a marginal role to a mainstream one, encroaching on major commercial tracks.” Xiong fei had an insight into the status quo of open source from an industrial perspective, and shared with the audience why open source is an advanced model and her thoughts on the commercialization of open source.
Lin Hao, winner of CCF Outstanding Engineer Award, took the title of “How to Improve the Hard power of Code Writing by Developers” and shared the methods and experience of developers to improve their hard power of code based on their own growth and development paths. Lin hao believes that a deep understanding of language apis is a basic skill for developers, and an advanced developer needs to be able to write robust code. Advanced developers, on the other hand, need to choose a proper language and have a deep understanding of how it works.
“Interactive design needs to think one more step, tell the user half step, let the user take half step.” By fusing cognitive psychology with code and software that are closest to the physical world, Hwang shares how we perceive the external world and the two gaps we need to bridge.
Go+ is a technological innovation initiated from the source. We hope to share and discuss the positioning and significance of Go+ with the vast number of developers and data scientists through this launch ceremony, and invite more developers to contribute code and build the Go+ ecosystem together.
