Using SSH to manage Linux servers often requires remote and local file exchange. It is most convenient to use SecureCRT’s built-in upload and download functions. SecureCRT uses ASCII, Xmodem, and Zmodem file transfer protocols. File transfer protocol: File transfer is the main form of data exchange. In the process of file transfer, in order to make the file can be correctly identified and transmitted, we need to establish a unified transfer protocol between two computers. This protocol includes document identification, transmission start and end times, error determination and correction, etc. Common transfer protocols are as follows: ASCII: This is the fastest transfer protocol, but only text files can be transmitted. Xmodem: This ancient transport protocol is slow, but with the use of CRC error detection, the transmission accuracy can be as high as 99.6%. Zmodem: The Zmodem adopts the streaming transmission mode, which makes the transmission speed faster. It also has the functions of automatically changing the size of the segment, continuing the breakpoint, and fast error detection. This is by far the most popular file transfer protocol. In addition to the above, there are Imodem, Jmodem, Bimodem, Kermit, Lynx and other protocols, which will be omitted here because most vendors do not support them.
**SecureCRT can use the Zmodem protocol to transfer files quickly and easily.
one Install LRZSZ on the server before uploading and downloading using SecureCRT:
1. Download lrzsZ-0.12.20.tar. gz from the following address
Down1.chinaunix.net/distfiles/l…
2. Check the INSTALL documentation for installation parameters and details
3. Unzip the files
The tar ZXVF LRZSZ – 0.12.20. Tar. Gz
4. Go to the directory
CD LRZSZ – 0.12.20
5,. / configure — prefix = / usr/local/LRZSZ
6, make
7, make install
8. Build soft links
#cd /usr/bin
#ln -s /usr/local/lrzsz/bin/lrz rz
#ln -s /usr/local/lrzsz/bin/lsz sz
9, test,
Run RZ and the SecureCRT upload window is displayed. Use SecureCRT to upload and download files.
two Just set the default directory for SecureCRT uploads and downloads
Options -> Session Options ->Terminal->Xmodem/Zmodem Set the directory for uploading and downloading in the right column directory
3. Use Zmodem to upload files from the client to the Linux server
Select the directory where you want to upload the file, enter the rz command in the directory,SecureCRT will bring up the file selection dialog box, find the file you want to upload, and press Add. OK can then upload the file to Linux. Or in the Transfer->Zmodem Upoad List popup file selection dialog box, select the file and press Add button. Then the OK window closes automatically. In Linux, select the directory to save the files and enter the rz command. Liunx uploads that file to this directory.
Four. Download files to the client using Zmodem: sz filename Zmodem receiving starts automatically. The downloaded files are stored in your default download directory.
Rz, SZ is a command line tool for transferring ZModem files between Linux/Unix and Windows. The Telnet/SSH client that supports ZModem is required on Windows. You can use SecureCRT to log in to a Unix/Linux host (Telnet or SSH) O Run the rZ command to receive the file, and SecureCRT displays the file selection dialog box. After selecting the file, close the dialog box. The file will be uploaded to the current directory O Run the sz file1 file2 command to send the file to Windows (the directory to save the file can be configured) more convenient than the FTP command, and the server does not need to enable FTP service
