This is the seventh article in the technical Writing Project (including translation). Set a small goal of 999, at least 2 articles per week.
Install CentOS,Ubuntu,Windows 10 and Windows Server automatically using CentOS7.6 Minimal + Cobbler Cobbler+ Windows 10/ Windows Server2019
Please note that the general installation of Windows is to use MDT or WDS, after all, is the giant hard home, and MDT also supports distributed image transmission (mainly the giant hard home OS, often more than 4G, 10 gigabit network card will also card). This article does not involve MDT or WDS related operations, interested in baidu or MSDN.
To prepare
- Download the Windows PE Add-on for The ADK (Download the Windows PE Add-on for the ADK)
- Windows 10 (Business Edition), Version 1809 (Updated Feb 2019) (X64) – DVD (Chinese-Simplified) download Windows 10 (Business Edition), Version 1809 (Updated Feb 2019) (X64) – DVD (Chinese-Simplified)
- Windows Server 2019 (X64) -DVD (Chinese-Simplified) download Windows Server 2019 (X64) -DVD (Chinese-Simplified)
Note that both of the ADK files need to be downloaded. These are bootpacks and the real installation will be downloaded from them. WinPE uses about 5G of disk space, which is unbearable… MSDN I Tell U can be called the conscience of the site, is the God of Windows installation site, but, it is not a direct page. In order to prevent mistakes, specially screenshots.
Install ADK and WinPE
I have installed, and forgot the screenshot, this is an afterthought, just check the necessary
Once installed, open the deployment and imaging tooling environment as an administrator
Customized Win 10 PE
copype amd64 C:\winpe
Dism /mount-image /imagefile:C:\winpe\media\sources\boot.wim /index:1 /mountdir:C:\winpe\mount
echoNet use Z :\ \192.168.0.253\share >> C:\winpe\mount\Windows\System32\startnet.cmdecho z:\win\setup.exe /unattend:z:\win\win10_x64_bios_auto.xml >> C:\winpe\mount\Windows\System32\startnet.cmd
Dism /unmount-image /mountdir:C:\winpe\mount /commit
MakeWinPEMedia /ISO C:\winpe C:\winpe\winpe_win10_amd64.iso
Copy the code
- Locally generate winPE file directory
- Dism mounts the winpe startup file to the Mount directory of Winpe
- Hardcoded the startup command into the startnet.cmd file of Winpe
- Unattended installation
- Unmount winpe (be sure to perform this, otherwise directly force to delete folders will cause some strange problems)
- Create a Win10 image named winpe_win10_amd64.iso
The third step is hard coded because you must know the SMB host in order to mount the shared folder, but this parameter is difficult to pass in. If the usb flash drive is used for startup, you can write down the USB flash drive path, insert the USB flash drive at the worst, and manually change the volume label (of course, because the mounting sequence of the USB flash drive is inconsistent, you can use the for loop a-Z to access A file name one by one. If the usb flash drive exists, it is regarded as your own USB flash drive and set environment variables). Startnet.cmd calls another bat. Startnet.cmd calls another bat.
If PXE is to meet the above requirements, dynamically set SMB host, either write dead domain name, and then hijack or configure the domain name, plus the bat file, in winpe startup, through startnet.cmd download, and execute. Either find a way to pass in parameters at startup (which I haven’t found yet), or use MDT, which looks a lot simpler than PXE+ unanswered files.
Cobbler Server configuration
Import the Cobbler
Use WinScp to upload winpe_win10_amd64.iso to the Cobbler server
[root@localhost ~]# cobbler distro add --name=windows_10_x64 --kernel=/var/lib/tftpboot/memdisk --initrd=/root/winpe_win10_amd64.iso --kopts="raw iso"
[root@localhost ~]# touch /var/lib/cobbler/kickstarts/winpe.xml
[root@localhost ~]# cobbler profile add --name=windows_10_x64 --distro=windows_10_x64 --kickstart=/var/lib/cobbler/kickstarts/winpe.xml
Copy the code
Create an auto answer file
Windows Answer File Generator#win10_x86_64 can be downloaded directly from Windows Answer File Generator#win10_x86_64 via simple configuration (only supports simple operations, such as installing the system, formatting disks, setting passwords, etc.). You can also use Windows Image Manager, but it is quite difficult to use, see How to create an Unattended Installation of Windows 10. You can also simplify operations through MDT.
However, if the installation language is directly generated, there are some problems. Even if the installation language is set on the page, you still need to manually select it. After multiple studies, it is found that the main stuck in UILanguage and Inputlocale, and it is invalid to write zh-cn entirely.

Windows Server 2019
Since the version of 1809 is also used in 2019, the production steps are the same, which will not be repeated here.
