Renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking has argued that artificial intelligence should be developed in accordance with ethical and safety measures, as machines outside human control are hard to stop
Hawking was interviewed by larry King, a well-known American journalist. Hawking admitted in the interview that he didn’t think developing ARTIFICIAL intelligence would necessarily change humanity for the better.
“When machines reach an important stage in their development where they can evolve on their own, it is difficult to predict how closely their goals align with human aspirations,” Hawking said.
He pointed out that artificial intelligence can develop faster than human intelligence.
