Shortcuts are hard to force, and I know that while many shortcuts are easy to use and useful, not everyone can use them.
But here’s a shortcut that I’m sure you’ll enjoy using: the space bar. Because it is not a combination of keys, only need their own key, basically no memory costs. Secondly, its several common usage scenarios are also high-frequency, which can greatly improve your work efficiency.
Here are a few good uses of the space bar:
1. Preview
You can use the space bar to preview documents, images, audio, video, compressed files, and more, as long as there is an application associated with the file format you want to preview.
You just want to see what’s in the files, or make sure they’re the ones you need, not open them individually. Preview, no problem.
2. Browser search
Chrome automatically recognizes and stores web urls with search functions, and when you type in the domain name of the site, prompts you to type in TAB or space, along with the search term, to direct the search results.
Commonly used Taobao, Jingdong, Zhihu these high-frequency search sites, with can help me save a lot of time.
If Chrome doesn’t automatically identify sites as searchable, you can add the sites you want to support in Chrome Settings – Manage Search Engine.
3. Turn web pages
Browser page-turning is not as desirable as the above two functions, but some people still use it because it requires very low frequency operation to complete the page browsing. But because of the difference in personal habits, this is not a strong push.
Above is the “space bar” clever use, use it.
