Mac can have multiple users. Administrators enable quick user switching, allowing you to quickly switch accounts when multiple users log in at the same time.

1. On the Mac, choose Apple Menu > System Preferences, tap Users and Groups, and then login Options. 2.

1. On a Mac, choose Apple Menu > System Preferences, then click Dock & Menu Bar.

Use the menu bar to switch accounts
1. On the Mac, click the Quick User Switch menu in the menu bar and select your user name. The Quick User Toggle menu is located in the upper right corner of the screen and looks like a user icon or shows the name of the current user, depending on the Settings in the “Users and Groups” preferences.
2. Enter the password and press Return.
Switch accounts using the touch ID
If two or more users log in at the same time, you can use the touch ID to quickly switch users.
If the Mac has a touch bar: Place your finger on the touch ID until “Tap to switch to [Your name]” appears, then press the touch ID until it clicks.
If the Mac or Mac keyboard is only equipped with a touch ID (no touch bar) : Press the touch ID until it clicks.
Switch accounts using the control center
1. On the Mac, click Control Center on the menu bar, tap, and select your user name.
2. Enter the password and press Return.
