Change of permit

Sublime Text’s license keys are no longer tied to a single major release; instead, they are now valid for all updates up to three years after purchase. After that, you still have full access to each version of Sublime Text released up to three years ago, but newer versions require a license upgrade. These are the same license terms we use for Sublime Merge, and they allow us to provide more frequent and exciting updates as soon as they are ready, without having to roll them into a new major release.

Label multi-select

File tags have been enhanced to make splitting views effortless, and the entire interface and built-in commands are supported. The sidebar, TAB bar, Goto Anything, Goto Definition, autocomplete, and more have all been tweaked to make code navigation easier and more intuitive than ever.

Apple Silicon and Linux ARM64

Sublime Text for Mac now includes native support for Apple Silicon processors. Linux ARM64 builds are also available for Raspberry Pi and other devices.

The refreshed user interface

Default and adaptive themes have been refreshed with new TAB styles and dimming for inactive panes. Theme and color scheme support automatic dark mode switching. Adaptive themes on Windows and Linux now have custom title bars.

Context-aware autofill

The auto-populate engine has been rewritten to provide intelligent populate based on existing code in the project. The recommendations also add information about their types and provide links to definitions.

TypeScript, JSX, and TSX support

Support for one of the most popular new programming languages is now provided by default. Take advantage of all of Sublime Text’s syntactic-based intelligence in the modern JavaScript ecosystem.

Super powerful syntax definitions

The syntax highlighting engine has been greatly improved, with new capabilities for handling nondeterministic syntax, multi-line structures, lazy embedding, and syntax inheritance. Memory usage has been reduced and load times are faster than before.

The GPU to render

Sublime Text can now render your interface using your GPU on Linux, Mac, and Windows. This allows for a smooth user interface all the way up to 8K resolution, while using less power than before.
