1 Problem Description

Write a new Spring Boot project with the project port number defined as 6667. The project starts normally, but an ERR_UNSAFE_PORT error occurs when you enter the access address in Chrome. This literally means an unsafe port number.

2 Cause Analysis

The Chrome browser defines built-in ports that cause the ERR_UNSAFE_PORT problem if the address port number you want to access is the same as those built-in ports.

Chrome defines the following built-in ports 1:

  1, // tcpmux
  7, // echo
  9, // discard
  11, // systat
  13, // daytime

3 Solutions

  1. Change the port number for engineering applications. (recommended)

  2. In the Chrome shortcut command, add the port number. The format is: — minority-allowed-ports = Port number
