Before installing Wireshark on a MAC, you need to install X11 software. XQuartz namely. Download link: xquartz.macosforge.org/landing/. If XQuartz is not installed, the MAC will be prompted that it does not have X11. After the Wireshark is installed and run, the “Where is X11? . At this point, click Browse and select “Application” – “Utility” – “XQuartz”. \
