Ten-year Technology Stack

I started to learn front-end technology in college in 2010. Since then, I have been learning new technology stacks and giving up old ones every year:

Ten-year Career Path

In 2010, I took the postgraduate entrance examination of Automation and Control Engineering of Zhejiang University. Although I passed the test score, I gave up the second test and was eager to work in Ali as the front end:


My understanding is that the workplace mind will go through these stages of survival, temptation, proof, realization, planning and re-selection. Each stage has a completely different psychological state and game breaking skills. At the core, it is a growing process for a student to integrate into the society, recognize himself and choose his life path twice.

My career has been divided into three periods:

  • Section 3 Technical management: In the past three years, Song Xiaocai was the head of the front end of Daeda

Nowadays, the front-end has been a difficult industry to define in a word. Recruitment teams find it difficult to recruit people, countless job seekers in the market (including a large number of online and offline training institutions) find it harder to find a good job, and it is even harder to enter big factories than to take the 985 exam. I wrote two articles last year to describe this phenomenon:

My perception is that the global political pattern/business pattern is undergoing extremely drastic reconstruction and iteration in the ten years before and after the Boxer Year. The Reconstruction of the existing way of life by the Internet is so profound and rapid that the front-end engineers of the new industry are being torn to two levels by the development of the industry:

  • Cognitive polarization: The cognitive generation gap of front-end engineers accelerates and creates a huge gap in coding strength/management awareness/maturity
  • Income polarization: the income gap of front-end engineers rapidly opened, the low salary is only five to six thousand, the high salary is 70 to 80 thousand, the rich and poor

Insights from the first half of the year

In the past few years, many students have encountered difficulties in their career and asked me to help them with their career planning.

I found that my energy and strength were too limited. I only helped hundreds of people in recent years, but I saw their current situation:

So I thought, what can I do for the industry, what can I do for front end engineers, It is far from enough to write articles as a part-time job (I have written more than a hundred articles in this year), live broadcast (I have done 10 or 20 live broadcasts in this year), do tutoring (I have tutored hundreds of children’s shoes by wechat phone in this year), and hold technical conferences (I have held more than 10 technical conferences covering thousands of people in this half year).

For example, from January 11th to June 30th in the first half of the year, 11 front-end early chat conferences were held in total, with nearly 5000 front-end participants and a total of 80 sharing sessions.
