Alfred is one of the most efficient devices on the Mac, and today we’ll take a quick look at how to use it.
First, basic use
1. Set the startup shortcut key
Once you’ve started the software, hover your mouse over the area circled in the red box below, and then press the Start Alfred shortcut you want to set. In this case, double-click Command to start Alfred.
2, Web Search
Web search
Under WebSearch, I only keep three custom searches for Baidu, Google and Github.
Here we have Baidu search as an example, how to add a custom search. First of all, click “Add Custom Search” in the bottom, and then fill it in according to the following figure.
Description of each field:
- Search URL: The link to Search, where {querry} is the placeholder for the entered keyword
- Title: is using the Title display
- Keyword: Is the keyword that triggers the search
- Valdation: Used to verify tests. You can type anything and then click Test to Test the results
PS: Search urls for several common websites are as follows
- Baidu:
https://www.baidu.com/s?ie=utf-8&f=8&wd={query}
Copy the code
- Google:
https://www.google.com/search?q={query}
Copy the code
- Making:
https://github.com/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q={query}
Copy the code
The specific use effect is as follows:
3, the Default Result
The default search results
Here you can click Setup fallback Results, that is, to set the search with no results. I set the three custom searches above.
4, File Search
File search
Using the [open+ file name] command, you can directly open the selected file. Run the find+ file name command to open the directory where the selected file resides.
5, and Web Bookmarks
Browser bookmarks
I turned this off because there were so many bookmarks
6, the Calculator
The calculator
Directly input operation number and operator, the result is displayed directly, as shown below:
7, the Clipboard
The clipboard
Check the three Keep** boxes to enable the function of saving the clipboard history. Similarly, the Viewer Hotkey can set the shortcut key to view the clipboard. I set the shortcut key here is double click Control.
Using shortcut keys to open the clipboard looks like this:
7. Other parts
