Last time, I wrote a report on the Comparison of Slang between The Post-00s generation in China and the United States, which made us feel the extensive and profound Chinese culture. Obviously, we all speak Chinese, but you may not understand anything. Ok, NBCS.

Today we say 8090 after the business slang, these slang if you can not learn or first don’t return to China, because it is difficult to hold the scene, an opening from the momentum will lose half. And a lot of words you already know the meaning of, now old words are new.

The story starts with a bureau of liu Xiaosi’s masturbating last week. In the game, I met a friend who came back from New York for a week. He is building a platform to learn English with interesting people from abroad, commonly known as “Ivy oral gym” called Talkology. His clear eyes and sincere attitude reminded me dearly of my pure appearance when I just came back to China. (ou 🙄

“It depends on whether you want to be a platform or a brand,” “You have to form a closed loop,” “How engaged you are,” or “We start from content…” .

The eldest brother was listening with a smile all the time. Unexpectedly, after returning home, the eldest brother unexpectedly volatilized a micro blog like this:

This micro blog put me happy half to death, I side exclamation did not expect me to return to China for more than a year has become a river’s lake, will begin to speak slang… While deciding to teach a lesson to the elites who are going to start their own businesses and return to China:

How to speak startup slang in a way that makes you look like you know your stuff,

Let VC listen to a leng leng?

Looking back to when I came back to China (actually a year ago), I can only remember the THREE VC companies: how big the market is, what is the barrier and where is the value.

Now the vocabulary is unparalleled. When I first came back to China, every time I heard someone say something, use a word, or compose a sentence, I didn’t feel sharp, and I was too nervous to know how to answer.

For example, “What’s the play? How do you get the user’s mind? “

Play style?? It’s all in my head

▲ I thought of the gai gang beat dog stick and dragon 18 palm, that I should use what kind of fight? ! ? ! ?

Mind?? How on earth can I get into someone’s heart and into his mind??

Later I realized that I thought too much, the original they said the mind is the following

And the word granularity, WHICH I really didn’t understand at first.

For example, a friend told me that we should look at the cognitive granularity and execution granularity of XX.

I:

So I summoned the courage to ask the other party, which was deeply despised by the other party:

You are granularity. I translated it into English later. It means “Tourism”…

Later, I was relieved to know that I was not the only one who was shocked by these words. For example, my friend Miss Suo came back to Beijing from Silicon Valley two months ago, and she secretly sent me a message on wechat:

▲ The eyes of a thousand people

Fortunately, WHEN I entered Ali, I had already received a new Chinese education, such as fighting skills, how to leverage merchants, and the Double 11 campaign, which I had already heard.

(I later learned that a campaign is a campaign.)

Finally, I can skillfully use these words, with a Beijing accent, the others said a leng leng.

To give you an idea of how much vocabulary you still need to learn, HERE are some of the words I compiled from my friend @Weiyang’s microblog:

Play, synchronization, alignment, closed-loop, ecological,, diversion, pattern, long tail, vertical, fall to the ground, dry goods, threshold, optimization, an iterative, agile, assessment, and yields, experience, layout, innovation, pain points, value, flow, data, style, system and platform, follow up and feedback, reviews, precipitation, touch, yes, user portrait, decentralization, business model, Insert a demand, weekend overtime (there seems to be something very strange to blend in), dimension reduction method, involvement, head, waist, immersion, ecology, channel sinking, head, waist, subversion, fission, diversion, test, iteration, exposure, distribution, logic, leverage, activation, integration, operation… And round B… Round A, round B, round angel.

(More are welcome)

The original many people back home, like Chinese with English to say, but also often speak stammering. This is definitely not the way to raise money.

For example, the original VC father asked you, what is your play? You will say:

My strategy is to test this channel with a small budget to see if it can achieve effective ROI…

Not only does it make you sound like a jerk, but it also makes you sound like you’re a returnee who doesn’t know the business!

You have to say something like:

I use growth hacker method, first with a small budget to activate these resources, the mode run through, to the opponent a dimensionality reduction blow…

Let me break down some of the most important words

Growth hacker (noun)

【 original intention 】 : a group of people who drive marketing by data, guide product direction by market, and implement growth goals through technical means

[business slang new idea] : you can not spend money to pull new

Is there a budget for this? Aren’t you a growth hacker from Silicon Valley?

[New idea of entrepreneurial slang] : not according to the routine card, straight up to beat each other down.

【 句】 :(1) rising, jiangmin, kaspersky and other well-known anti-virus software all rely on the form of annual fees to obtain revenue, 360 directly eliminated the payment dimension, which became a famous blow to dimension reduction. Or, (2) I don’t want to face you, I have your little pigtail, I will directly lower the dimension of you

To tell you the truth, ever since I’ve picked up these words and picked up a bit of Beijing accent, I’ve been able to speak with some degree of authority even when I don’t know what TO say…

No wonder people say Beijing is a magical place. It’s hard to tell if you’re a jerk or a jerk…

Recently, some new words have come into being, such as the second curve of growth of Chaos University, so I often tell my boss when I don’t want to work that I want to pursue my second curve.

So much for the joke. Please don’t take it too seriously, it’s not as bad as I say, but if someone is using these words all day 80% of the time they’re faking X.

It’s really interesting to see people in a circle invent a new language, add new meaning to the language and reach a consensus within the circle, as if one sentence can string together a lot of unspoken background knowledge.

But do you really know what these words mean before you use them?

There are many books and theories behind each word. I hope that when everyone reads my article and hears these words, they will actually look into their origins, the meaning of the concept, and not just the surface…

This article to entrepreneurship and venture capital of the returnees, I wish you an early grounding, together with some big things, the model run up!
