Operation steps:
1. Start the VM and choose Create VM.
2. Select “Typical (Recommended)”, then “Next”.
3. Select Install OS later and Next.
4. Select Linux for the client OS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 64-bit for the version, and Next.
5. Change the vm name to the default name, the directory name in the location will change accordingly, and then click Next.
6. Maximum disk size: the minimum size cannot be less than 20GB. Select save virtual disk as a single file and then next.
7. Click Customize Hardware.
8. (1) Select “New CD/DVD”, select “Connect on startup” for device status, select “Use ISO image” for connection, and click “Browse” to find the directory where the image resides.
8. (2) Select “Network Adapter”, select “Connect on Startup” for device status, select “Bridge mode” for network status, and then “Close”.
9. Click finish.
10. Click the startup icon on the software and select “Firmware on power”, which is equivalent to entering the BIOS of your computer.
11. Shut down the FDD.
12, set the boot option, the first is CD/DVD, the second is hard disk.
13. Press F10 to save.
14, enter the installation interface, the default first, directly enter key.
15. Press Enter.
16. Select Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Continue.
17. (1) Click “KDUMP”
17. (2) Uncheck “Enable kdump” and click” Finish “.
18. (1) Click “Network and Hostname”
18. (2) Enable the Ethernet connection, and then finish.
19. Click “Start Installation”.
20. (1) Click “ROOT password”.
20. (2) Set the root password. Double-click Finish twice because the password strength is too low.
20. (3) Click “Create User”
20, (4) Set up a normal user, enter “full name”, “password”, “confirm password”, and “done”.
Installation in progress, wait patiently.
22. After installation, (1) operate as shown in the picture
22, (2) Device status, cancel “Connected,” cancel “Connect on startup”, connect check “Use physical drive”, and then complete.
23. Finally click “Reboot”. If you do not perform Step 22 and click Restart, the installation screen is displayed again. The BIOS boot option is in effect. Therefore, remove the first boot option.
Or the VIRTUAL machine can be shut down directly, and then set to remove the CD/DVD connection state, and then start up again, the effect is the same.
