Container-related services

Cloud container Engine services

The Cloud Container Engine (CCE) provides a highly scalable, high-performance, enterprise-class Kubernetes cluster that supports running Docker containers. The cloud container engine makes it easy to deploy, manage, and extend containerized applications on the cloud. The cloud container engine provides the following functions:

1. Use cloud container engine, you can create Kubernetes container cluster with one click, no need to build Docker and Kubernetes cluster. The entire application life cycle can be efficiently completed within the cloud container engine through automated deployment and one-stop operation and maintenance of container applications.

2. Using the cloud container engine, you can directly use a variety of heterogeneous infrastructures, such as high-performance elastic cloud servers, bare-metal servers, and GPU-accelerated cloud servers, on the cloud Stack. You can quickly create mixed clusters based on service requirements and centrally manage the created clusters using the cloud container engine.

3. The cloud container engine provides rich network access modes and supports layer-4 and layer-7 load balancing to meet access requirements in different scenarios.

4. In addition to local disk storage, the cloud container engine can store workload data on cloud storage devices of Huawei cloud. The cloud storage devices currently support cloud disk storage volumes (EVS), file storage volumes (SFS), and object storage volumes (OBS).

5. The cloud container engine provides affinity/antiaffinity scheduling between workloads and availability zones, workloads and nodes, and workloads. Affinity can be set based on service requirements to implement the nearest deployment of workloads and the nearest routing of communication between containers, reducing network consumption. You can also set anti-affinity deployment for multiple instances of the same workload to reduce downtime, and anti-affinity deployment for applications that interfere with each other to avoid interference.

6. Unified resource management and scheduling are provided based on the Kubernetes Helm standard template. Rapid template deployment and later management are efficiently realized, greatly simplifying the installation and management process of Kubernetes resources.

Container Image Service

Software Repository for Container (SWR) is an image life-cycle management service. It provides easy-to-use, secure and reliable image management functions, helping you quickly deploy containerized services. You can upload, download, and manage Docker images through the interface, Docker CLI, and native apis.

Multi-cloud container platform services

Multi-cloud is a cloud architecture composed of multiple cloud services provided by multiple cloud providers. It can be either public or private cloud. Multi-cloud Container Platform (MCP) provides a complete solution for Container applications in multi-cloud and hybrid Cloud scenarios, meeting users’ demands for rapid business growth and high availability:

1. Multi-supplier support to enhance users’ business flexibility.

2. Implement multi-cloud DISASTER recovery (Dr) and quickly respond to cloud single point outages.

3. Share service traffic and intelligently cope with the impact of service traffic peaks.
