Happy New Year. The Element UI development team wishes a happy New Year to all the developers who support us. Wish you all a bug-free New Year and no overtime every day.

Over the past year, while maintaining Vue 2.x steadily, the Element UI team has launched a new version of Vue 3.x to enrich the ecosystem of Vue 3. In the New Year, we hope to provide a better development experience for developers and create open source products that understand people better.

Element UI

The Element UI was released in v2.15.1, with major bug fixes and performance improvements. Fix Select, Popconfirm, Drawer, Calendar, Cascader and other components.

We’ve also updated the Axure Design Resource file for designers and product managers.

Element Plus for Vue 3

Element Plus has released v1.0.2-beta.32, which includes a major adaptation of Vue 3, as well as four new components — Space, Skeleton, Empty, and Affix — to enrich developers’ choices. The dark theme of the new design is also under intense development as planned.

The follow-up plan

We will keep both Element UI and Element Plus versions in sync for some time to come. Given that most developers are still developing with Vue 2, the new features are updated to the Element UI as they are tested and refined on Element Plus.

With the popularity of Vue 3, we will gradually reduce the frequency of Vue 2.x projects and shift the focus of our work to Vue 3.x.

Thank you for your attention and love to Element. It is your support that keeps Element improving and striving to be the best. We welcome you who love open source to work with us to improve Element. Meanwhile, our team is also expanding the field of micro front-end and low code development. The way of hooking up is [email protected].
